On December 26, 2010 New York was hit with a major snow storm. (Meanwhile, I was warm and dry visiting family in Southern California.)
My nephew and his family spent a few days at the house shortly after the roads were cleared and passable.
This is a photo of my grandnephew, Avery, age 15 1/2 months, longingly looking at the stairs he so badly wants to play on, through the French doors that separate the rooms.
He made it to the stairs!
He made it to the stairs!
Then decided to help dad dig a path to the front of the house.
This is a photo of our home. As you can see, the snow is nearly level with the porch which would indicate we received about three feet of snow. Is that possible?
Update. I was at the house this past weekend and it looks pretty much the same. It's mid March and the snow looks unchanged except for where it's dripped off the roof. I do see, however, a few signs of spring including daffodil sprouts! I'm glad I planted so many daffodils because there are one of the first bulbs to come up.
